Coach Chanda

Trainer & Nutrition Coach

Coach Matt Yoshida
About Chanda

An ACE certified personal trainer, Chanda’s interest in health and fitness began back in middle school when she started tagging along to the gym with her mom. After taking several weight lifting and functional fitness classes in college, she decided to pursue her love of health and fitness and become a personal trainer. Some of her certifications are as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and a Nutrition Coach, both received from NASM. She is currently working towards her Strength and Conditioning Coaching certification (CSCS).

Chanda moved to the Arlington area in 2020 and quickly fell in love with the fast-paced and health-minded community. While she enjoys learning and teaching others to do really cool things in the gym, Chanda emphasizes the importance of working with the body holistically and functionally. The goal is to feel confident and to feel better!

Chanda has a background in CrossFit and is a former spin instructor, but she also loves a good restorative yoga class or anything that emphasizes mobility. She firmly believes in the power and importance of proper recovery and mind-body connection.

When Chanda is not in the gym you can find her doting on her feline fur baby named Minnie, making music playlists or trying out new recipes!

Coach Matt Yoshida
About Jess

After overcoming a personal battle with an insidious illness lasting nearly seventeen years, I found my escape to longevity through fitness and I owe my improved quality of living all to my father.  With that newfound passion I found myself wanting more: a need to provide kind and thoughtful direction to people struggling in their own fitness journeys just as my father taught me.  My guidance is patient, holistic, and informative and I look forward to being a part of your fitness journey!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, restoring order to my vegetable garden, hiking, reading, and traveling the world to chase the snow.

Coach Jess has extensive experience training military and law enforcement personnel on active status as well as light and limited duty status.  Jess also has experience in prenatal and postpartum populations, elderly populations, general fitness, hypertrophy and strength training, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, body recomposition, and cross training for half marathon and marathon runners.

Coach Bobby

Trainer & Sports Nutritionist, Owner

Coach Christina Stephens
About Bobby

Born in Arlington, VA and as a lifelong athlete, my worldview has been through health and fitness.  I grew up playing soccer, football, basketball, competing nationally in Tae Kwon Do, training Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu/no gi, MMA, and picked up a couple seasons of ice hockey as an adult.  I studied business management but life led me back to health and I moved to California to persue a masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Integrative Medicine.  The concept of bridging traditional proactive lifestyle practices with modern Western science resonated with me.

I moved back to the DC area and started personal training at Equinox, one of the best gyms known for their extensive in house training.  I finished my first year in the top 10 nationwide out of 3,600 trainers and was promoted to a regional instructor position, responsible for onboarding all our trainers in DC, MD and VA.  In partnership with the exercise physiology team at UCLA, I taught classes in biomechanics, neuromuscular physiology, basic and advanced cardiovascular physiology, basic and advanced nutrition, program design, and business management.  After onboarding over 200 trainers over the years, I branched out to real estate, working on one of the top teams for five years, but I never could walk away from fitness.

Over the years and with more experience, I started to become more interested in proactive health, performance training, and systemic factors that affect all our lives, particularly in healthcare, education, and agriculture.  Everything started coming together.

Integrative Performance is the culmination of all these experiences.  I wanted to provide a welcoming space for all people to learn how to live well while having fun.  Integrative Performance is part modern wellness center, part elite training facility, featuring cutting edge health and fitness technology, an awesome private training studio, and an amazing team of professionals dedicated to helping the community live their best.

In time, we hope to provide education and advocacy on a larger scale and help as many people as possible live their best.

Come check us out or say hello!  We’d love to see you!
